Is Trump gaming the stock market? – The Register-Guard

This Article Was Originally From This Site

Is anybody tracking the Trump dynasty’s stock market purchases? Just two recent examples of the president sending out tweets raise the question: Is Trump gaming the market?

Blasting “AmazonWashingtonPost” for “fake news” one day, Amazon’s stock fell the next day, and within days its share price bounced back to pre-tweet levels. The same with Boeing, when he tweeted that the latest iteration of Air Force One that company is building was too expensive and to “cancel order” — its stock fell for a brief period, and then rebounded.

If the president’s minions are working in concert with the White House tweets, and playing the spread whenever he sends out a disparaging tweet, they’re gaming the market. But then again, maybe it’s just a nice way to pick up lunch money for a billionaire.
